Three Days of Culture, Colour & Connection on the Costa del Sol

An Intercultural Hindu & Catholic Wedding in Marbella
By Sambe & Bloomfield Photography

Some weddings lean into tradition. Others blend it. This three-day celebration on Spain’s southern coast did both—seamlessly. Set across Marbella and Estepona, it brought together Hindu and Catholic customs, international guests, and a whole lot of personality.

Here’s how it unfolded.

Day One: Sangeet in Marbella

The weekend kicked off with a high-energy sangeet at a private venue in Marbella. Think bold colours, live music, and a packed dance floor. Both families brought the energy—performances, speeches, and a non-stop evening of food and celebration.

This wasn’t a warm-up. It was a full-scale party in its own right.

Day Two: Hindu Ceremony at Cortijo Pedro Jiménez, Estepona

Day two took us to Cortijo Pedro Jiménez, a traditional Andalusian estate tucked into the hills near Estepona. Surrounded by olive trees and backed by mountain views, it’s the kind of place that doesn’t need much dressing.

The Hindu ceremony was set outdoors, under a custom mandap, with the cortijo’s rustic architecture and soft southern light framing the whole thing. It was vibrant, meaningful, and completely personal to the couple.

Day Three: Catholic Blessing at Finca La Concepción, Marbella

The final day was held at Finca La Concepción—a venue with serious character. Formerly a 19th-century iron foundry, it now hosts weddings inside its dramatic stone-and-iron interior, filled with natural light and raw textures.

The Catholic blessing took place inside the foundry space itself—officiated by the bride’s brother in a personal, heartfelt ceremony that brought the weekend to a powerful close. No over-styling, no fuss—just the couple, their people, and a setting that spoke for itself.

Dinner and dancing followed, with guests celebrating late into the night.

Why the Costa del Sol Works for Intercultural Weddings

Southern Spain delivers on all fronts: strong venues, easy travel, and a culture that understands how to celebrate. Whether you're hosting a multi-day event or blending traditions, the Costa del Sol gives you the freedom—and the light—to do it well.

At Bloomfield Photography, we document destination weddings with a directed journalistic style and editorial eye. We’re based in Spain and work across Europe, specialising in multi-day celebrations that mix style, culture, and story.
